Lea and James were married at their parents vacation home in New Hampshire this past September. The home sits right on Lake Winnipesaukee and is surrounded by trees and beautiful, soft light. The most incredible part of this home is the view of Mt Chocorua, which Lea’s dad used as his centerpiece for the amazing branch tee-pee for the ceremony. Mindy, of Private Weddings and Events, poured her heart and soul into the design and one of my favorite florists, Lotus Floral Designs, really pulled through as well. I think every time I work with these two I am filled with so much love visually, I just never want to stop photographing the day as a whole.
Lea’s mom painted the watercolor design for both the menus as well as the stunning save the date. Lea’s dad also made the cider used for the toasts and menu pairings himself! This wedding was a true, intimate, family style day that showcased all of their best creations. Lea and James’ signature drink was titled the “Newfoundland” which should be obvious why – and included roasted grapefruit juice and rosemary brown sugar simple syrup… and they roasted and juice about 50 grapefruits just days leading up to the wedding. Lea made the wedding cake herself (florals by Lotus Floral Designs), as well as the macarons.
Cyrus, their AMAZING pup, was their best man and it really sealed the day for level: INCREDIBLE. I’ve been so excited to share this day – I know I had a TON of messages on Instagram when I shared behind the scenes in September. Finally – check out the whole wedding of Lea and James!
