Here’s a sneak peek of today’s shoot in Boston. Thanks to Samantha – the owner of Illustrious Day Spa for make up!
And thanks to my beautiful best friend Devon… for letting me sleep in her bed & being beautiful and letting me capture it. :)
I am a fully self taught, 24 year old photographer located in Central Maine. I'll travel anywhere, that's probably one of the best parts about my job! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Relations with a minor in Psychology. In my spare time (when I have some!) I snuggle with my three dogs and my husband. I also spend a lot of time with my two amazing nephews & my family.
When we shoot you’re all I’m thinking about. The client/photographer connection is extremely important and I make sure to build a great relationship with the people I shoot with. I use my creativity to decide whatshots we’ll get in the moment and I do a lot of research beforehand, too. During the entire shoot you are the main focus andthe reason I am still doing what I love. I love the people I work with,my clients are awesome. And I’m NOT just being biased. You really are awesome.
The photos we create together will differentiate you from any and everyone else. I pride myself in not only the great photographs you'll have for the rest of your lives, but the experience I provide when shooting with you. Be natural, have fun and let your kids be kids!

Who doesn’t love to start a new year with a baby?! I met precious baby Haiden at his grandmother’s house today. He was so much fun and so well behaved (thankfully since he is only 12 days old..). Haiden is an absolute prince and I loved working with him along side his mom and dad. Ashlie and Justin – thank you for having me today! I hope you like this teaser :)

Sarah and John are in Maine for a VERY short time (from Arizona!!)… so even though she is not the usual 8 months along for a maternity session, her belly is beautiful and growing! Honestly I hope I look this good when I’m pregnant. The weather today was ridiculous.. we started the session outside and ended up going to a hotel nearby to use their lobby (thanks Marriott!) because it was THAT cold. We got some really cute shots even though we didn’t have a ton of different locations to go to. Thanks to Sarah, John, and Sarah’s mom Melissa for braving the cold and suggesting the warmth of The Marriott! :) Here’s just a teaser for Sarah and her family… I can’t wait to meet your beautiful little girl! And don’t forget I’d love to fly to Arizona and shoot her newborn shots ;)
- Jenny! They are so beautiful! I cannot wait to see more!!! ;o) You are simply the best!!! Thank you so much! :)January 10, 2010 - 12:58 am
I met with Rachel and Ben a few weeks ago for what we thought was going to be their engagement session. It was in the teens that day so we decided to just drink hot chocolate and coffee & spend a few hours discussing their wedding! We rescheduled the photo shoot and decided that no matter what the temperature we would shoot… and luckily for us we got 30 degree weather! It was a lot of fun to wander the town & get questioned by security guards (who then let us into locked buildings…) and I cannot wait to shoot your wedding! :)
- I love this photo shoot that you did...the picture of them kissing with the sun behind them is gorgeous! I also love the pictures of their engagement ring. The picture of them on the steps of the church really is important to me, haha and I don't even know them. It just really made me feel the history of marriage. (I hope you don't mind my input! I love looking at your work, I think you do amazing work)December 28, 2009 - 9:18 pm
- great job on these! I love your peculiar choices with the engagement rings in your sessions, the berries and the piano are great photos and I really like the one of their feet and their dog, I like the color and texture :)December 28, 2009 - 9:19 pm
- Andrea, I love input - always! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and leave a comment :) It is ALWAYS appreciated!December 28, 2009 - 9:40 pm

I hope everyone is having Happy Holidays. :)

- These are beautiful pictures. Love them! Can't wait to see more..January 2, 2010 - 6:19 pm
Today my final Holiday order came in. I love the packaging that the prints come in, it’s actually one of the reasons that I am still using this printing company (although I also LOVE their prints, and everyone else seems to love them too… so that’s also a plus(; ). The girls are on their way down right now to pick the order up so they can have their parents open it on Christmas Day!
I cannot wait for 2010..! Tonight I’ll be designing a bunch of new templates for holiday cards, albums and all that good stuff. My life is pretty fun. :)
It seems that everyone on the East Coast was hit but some ridiculous snow this weekend … except us! No complaints here, I had two amazing photo shoots today and I did not need any issues with that. My first shoot today was with Adele and Tony who are getting married on August 21st. They were engaged just a month ago and let me just say – this girl is on top of it! She bought her dress yesterday and I am so excited to shoot their wedding! It’s going to be absolutely beautiful. Even though it was way too cold (cold enough to call off the shoot – but would I do something like that? Dream on!) both Adele and Tony were in high spirits and ready to get some awesome shots. It’s awesome to be around people that love each other so much. They were an inspiring couple and SO easy to shoot! Their wedding day will be perfect, for sure. And they’re not having cake – so they don’t have to worry about having any mishaps in that department ;) They will, however, have an amazing replacement!
Thank you both so much for braving the cold and dealing with the crazy wind (and me!).. I can’t wait to see you both again :)
- Jen!!! Those pics are AWESOME! we love'em! Thank you for the day and baring the cold with us! Looking forward to the BIG day!December 20, 2009 - 10:09 pm

- It looks like Adele found the perfect fit for a photographer in Jen. I cannot wait to see and be part of the wedding day photos with you Adele and Tony!!December 29, 2009 - 2:36 pm
Up here in Maine it’s good shooting weather (for outdoor stuff) a good 9 our of 12 months. Usually December, January and February are the months that I can finally relax and not have to work both jobs as much.. This year not so much! As frequently as I complain about the cold weather, the snow, the lack of ANYTHING fun to do… I could never leave this state for good. I love to travel, absolutely, but my best friends and family are up here and I am big on being able to see the people I love whenever I want to (minus the fact that I never get to because I am always working … hmm… ) Jessica emailed me weeks ago about shooting her and her siblings, but as I was going through my emails just two weeks ago I noticed her email again… WITHOUT A REPLY! Oh WOW I felt like such a horrible communicator! I immediately emailed her a date that I was open (of course by now the photos wouldn’t be available by Christmas – which is when she wanted them) and she said she was still interested. Thank goodness! After I apologized a million times (I promise I am very quick to respond to emails most of the time!) we finally got closer to today – even though it was in the 20’s outside! I doubt you can tell how absolutely freezing we were (them more than me, but my fingers WERE cold) but trust me … they did awesome! Here are a few of the shots from earlier (and I can’t believe it’s already 2:05pm!)
- These are awesome! They'd be great gifts for their family members. :)December 20, 2009 - 4:17 pm
My husband and I live in a BIG giant house. Well, I think it’s pretty big. It’s sort of been “duplexed” and is now two apartments. We have the top floor and a really awesome family lives downstairs (they are seriously awesome, they don’t get mad at our naughty dogs when they bark!) We’re really lucky to have reasonable and fun neighbors (they even made us dinner one night…!) So between my two jobs and family stuff I rarely get to visit with them.. but their kids are SO cute. Their daughter gives me hugs as soon as I walk through the door (who doesn’t love that?). I’ve been meaning to take photos for them since they moved in a few months ago and I never got around to it! So all week we had planned that at some point I would go visit and take some fun shots – and I was finally able to tonight. Nonna was visiting, too, so I made sure to get a shot of her and her 3 year old grand-daughter! I haven’t edited a lot of the shots yet, but I really love these shots so I had to get going. Haha. Also – Don’t forget that every comment left for the next WEEK will = one can donated to a local food bank!!

Tell my cousin Tony Darlene sends her love. Have a great day. Wish I lived close by I would certainly have some pictures taken by you:)January 27, 2010 - 7:45 am
Jen and I got together on Sunday, in the cold cold cold weather! It was actually not too bad in the sun, but any time we hit the shade it was pretty horrible. I didn’t even bring my mittens! But that’s okay, she was outside in a skirt… so I guess I can be without mittens for a while ;) Jen and I wandered the Lewiston area, although a lot of the locations I’ve used before (and love). I’ve been telling Jen how much I love all the shots for two days, and I’ve just gotten around to getting some up on the blog! I hope she likes them as much as I do… :)
- LOVE THEM!! You're fantastic! :)December 15, 2009 - 10:10 pm
